Briton Ferry faced off against Llandudno in a hard-fought battle for promotion to the Genero Adran Premier, and after 90 minutes of intense football, it was Briton Ferry who emerged victorious 4-0, cementing their place back in the top tier of Welsh women’s football.

The match took place under high pressure in Newtown, with both sides vying for the single promotion spot. Llandudno came into the fixture as champions of the North, while Briton Ferry, champions of the South. Both team arrived in hot form, having shown superb performances throughout their campaign.
Briton Ferry lifted the Genero Adran South title following a perfect campaign in which they won all 12 of their league matches, scoring 55 goals and conceding just five. Meanwhile, Llandudno were crowned Genero Adran North champions after winning 13 of their 14 league matches in which they scored 80 goals.

As the final whistle blew, Briton Ferry’s players and staff erupted in celebration. Their 4-0 victory secured their promotion to the Genero Adran Premier, capping off an outstanding unbeaten season. Goals from Alison Witts (2), Laura-May Walkley and Fleur Jenkins marked the perfect end to the perfect season for Ferry. For Llandudno, the defeat was heartbreaking. The players where gutted but their efforts throughout the match and the season as a whole should not go unnoticed.
This win marks a historic moment for Briton Ferry, who have shown remarkable consistency and determination throughout the year. Winning all 12 of their matches in the regular season. Their promotion is a testament to the hard work of the players, coaching staff, and supporters who have backed them all season.
